about JINJI

JINJI is a furniture brand established in Seoul in 2021.
We design furniture through structure, proportion, and the method of making.

Rather than treating furniture as a decorative object, we approach it as part of a spatial composition — something that must function clearly within real environments. Our work begins with structural logic and extends to how furniture is used, repeated, and combined over time.

진지는 2021년 서울에서 시작한 가구 브랜드입니다.
진지는 가구를 구조, 비례, 그리고 만드는 방식에서부터 설계합니다.

가구를 장식적인 오브젝트로 보기보다는,
실제 공간 안에서 명확하게 기능해야 하는 하나의 구조물로 접근합니다.
모든 작업은 구조적 논리에서 출발해, 사용 방식과 반복 사용,
그리고 시간이 지나며 쌓이는 흔적까지를 함께 고려합니다.

What We Design

JINJI designs furniture for both residential and commercial spaces, with a particular focus on cafés, restaurants, and work environments.

These are places where furniture is used continuously, often under demanding conditions. Durability, stability, and ease of maintenance are therefore considered as essential as visual clarity. Our designs aim to remain balanced and functional even when placed in dense or active spaces.

진지는 주거 공간과 상업 공간을 모두 아우르는 가구를 디자인합니다.
특히 카페, 레스토랑, 워크스페이스와 같이
가구가 지속적으로 사용되는 환경을 주요 맥락으로 삼고 있습니다.

이러한 공간에서는 외형만큼이나
내구성, 안정성, 유지 관리의 용이함이 중요합니다.
진지는 밀도 높은 공간에서도 균형을 잃지 않는 가구를 목표로 합니다.

Structure & Materials

Metal structures form the core of JINJI’s designs, often paired with solid wood and other materials. We focus on clear joints, rational assembly, and proportions that maintain stability across different sizes and configurations.

Details are intentionally restrained. Instead of visual emphasis, we prioritize how parts connect, how loads are distributed, and how materials age through use.

진지의 가구는 금속 구조를 중심으로 설계되며,
원목을 비롯한 다양한 재료와의 조합을 바탕으로 완성됩니다.

결합 방식과 조립 구조를 명확히 드러내고,
크기와 구성의 변화에도 안정적인 비례를 유지하는 데 집중합니다.
불필요한 장식은 배제하고,
구조와 재료 자체가 드러나는 디테일을 중요하게 생각합니다.
